07 Mar Eater LA: 85°C Bakery Adds Taiwanese Flair to Glendale’s Burgeoning Restaurant Row
Ten cent coffee, anyone?
by Farley Elliott | Mar 7, 2017
The massively popular 85°C Bakery has landed its latest location in Glendale, right along the main drag just north of the Americana. The famed Taiwanese restaurant chain plans a grand opening on March 10, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. and everything — and folks who line up early might just earn themselves a ten-cent coffee.
The new address makes for some prime real estate for the company, dropping inside the Woolworth Building and right next to the future home of The Halal Guys. The restaurant is open now, pushing a variety of cakes, pastries, and savory items like cheese dogs to the masses.
Wherever 85°C Bakery goes, lines tend to follow. Their relatively new Downtown locationbecame a hit nearly overnight, and the company as a whole has more than 800 locations across the globe. Guests who line up to this latest Glendale iteration on Friday at 9 a.m. might even be lucky enough themselves to earn a ten-cent sea salt coffee, available as an opening promotion.
But if all you want to do is get in, enjoy some pastries, and leave, you can do that right now. 85°C Bakery is open in Glendale, keeping daily hours from AM until evening.
