Senator Anthony Portantino’s Senate Appropriations Committee will be taking up Senate Bill 939 next week which could allow tenants to terminate leases without landlord consent, establish a statewide moratorium on commercial tenant evictions and allow tenants 12 months to pay back deferred rent.
