Al Fresco Glendale Coming to Downtown

Al Fresco Glendale LogoOn Tuesday, June 2, the Glendale City Council authorized the establishment of the Al Fresco Glendale Program. The program will allow local retail and dine-in restaurants to apply to extend to outdoor dining and retail sales on both public and private properties. It provides businesses with a low-cost alternative to re-establish their customer base to pre-COVID levels by offering outdoor dining and retail alternatives. City of Glendale outdoor dining permit fees will be waived between now and August 31 as a way to support businesses.

All businesses are encouraged to apply now to extend their outdoor dining service. As part of this, the City in collaboration with the Greater Downtown Glendale Association will establish four parklets on Brand Boulevard for the use of local businesses. Parklets will be installed the week of June 8, and businesses should apply now to participate.
