THE 7TH VOYAGE OF SINBAD is a 1958 Technicolor fantasy film from Columbia Pictures produced by Charles H. Schneer, directed by Nathan H. Juran and starring Kerwin Matthews, Torin Thatcher, Kathryn Grant, Richard Eyer. This top-notch adventure pits hero Sinbad against the evil Magician who has reduced the Princess to miniature size. Fast-moving and filled with thrilling creatures including the giant Cyclops and the famous sword battle with an army of skeletons.
The Special Effects were conceptualized by Ray Harryhausen using a full-color widescreen stop-motion animation technique called Dynamation.
The 7th Voyage of Sinbad was selected in 2008 for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress by virtue of being ‘culturally, historically and aesthetically significant.’
