Bob was also a popular rock ‘n roll dee-jay. What audiences will be surprised to learn is that Bob is the only living person to have produced and financed a Beatles concert all three years they toured America. \nDid you know that in 1964\, Bob borrowed $25\,000 on his house and presented The Beatles to Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl? In 1965 he produced two shows at the Hollywood Bowl and one in 1966 at Dodger Stadium. After that 1966 concert\, there would only be one more. The Beatles would never tour again. \nBob has fascinating and hilarious never-heard-before stories about his experiences with The Beatles\, their manager Brian Epstein\, and the screaming throngs of fans who attended the concerts. He has put together an entertaining one-of-a-kind show that will appeal to all audiences. The GYO has played twice in recent years at the Walt Disney Concert Hall to great ovation. The 2011\, the GYO auditioned and was selected as a PREMIER LA Phil Youth Orchestra. Our Mission is based on the belief that our young people have a better chance of succeeding in their world if they appreciate and participate in its rich artistic and cultural traditions. GYO provides young musicians in grades 6-12 from all over L.A. County a unique opportunity to play classical music under the direction of Juilliard-trained conductor Brad Keimach. The GYO has been a Resident Company of the Alex Theatre since 1995.
