Los Angeles Jazz Society presents the 2014 Jazz Tribute Awards Concert celebrating the music of legendary drummer Shelly Manne, whose career spans the worlds of film, television, and recording. The 2 1/2 hour concert features Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tierney Sutton, John Clayton, and the All Star Band, which includes Clayton, Peter Erskine, Tamir Hendelman, Chuck Berghofer, Kevin Kanner, Sammy Miller, Mike Wofford, and Paul Kreibich Proceeds benefit the L.A. Jazz Society’s ‘Jazz in Schools’ programs, which bring Jazz to over 20,000 students each year.
