When a broken leg leaves him wheelchair bound in his New York apartment, news photographer James Stewart passes the time by observing his neighbors. He begins to believe one of them (Raymond Burr) may have murdered his wife. Aided by his fashionable high society girl friend (Grace Kelly) and his wise-cracking no-nonsense nurse (Thelma Ritter), Stewart sets out to get to the bottom of the mystery. Tigran Hamasyan In Concert
Alex Theatre 216 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale, CA, United StatesJazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan, born in Armenia in 1987, moved with his family to Los Angeles, California, in 2003. He began playing the piano at the age of 3 and, since the age of 13, he has played in European festivals, his reputation growing steadily with every performance. Tigran has won several prestigious piano competitions, most notably the 2006 Thelonius Monk jazz piano competition under the supervision of Herbie Hancock. Recently, Tigran was named the winner of the 2013 Vilcek Price for Creative Promise in Contemporary Music.

This year’s event will feature multiple traditional Armenian dance & musical performances by local students and keynote speaker Maurice-Missack Kelechian. Tickets to the event are free (limit 4 per person) and will be available at the following locations: Alex Theatre, Americana at Brand Concierge Services and Glendale Community College.
