Glendale Tech Week: Innovations in Engineering & Education in GCC and Robotics Lab Tour

A large percentage of graduating engineering students at public universities start their engineering education at a local community college and engineering transfer students have the highest success rate of all majors. Professors Armen Toorian and Chris Hereweth will showcase some of the many resources and opportunities that Glendale Community College has to offer to beginning engineering students. Join us after the presentation for a tour of the Robotics Lab! This event is free to the public and does not require a Glendale Tech Week Badge. Students are welcomed! Space is limited. Join Professor Barbara Falkwoski in a riveting tour of the night sky at the Glendale Community College Planetarium! The GCC Planetarium is an all digital, full dome theater with both 2D and 3D "live" digital star fields. Come and learn more about the stars! Glendale Tech Week: GCC Presents “Hands On Experimental Learning” @ Sandbox Lab

The GCC “Sandbox” is a experiential learning place where students are encouraged to think, learn, and solve problems by engaging with technology, and each other, to propose, design, and execute, project-based learning activities, emphasizing on creating, exploring, discovering, and reasoning. Join professors Brett Miketta and Rory Schuleter as they discuss how the Sandbox Lab uses student-centered learning and collaboration in an experimental learning setting to encourage academic transfer and career path success in STEM for students at GCC.
