Long before Bob Dylan gave voice to the Sixties with his ‘For the times they are a-changin,’ Haydn, who continually reinvented himself, named his 64th Symphony ‘Times Change.’ Mozart poured grief over his mother’s death into the beautifully crafted Flute Concerto, while Prokofiev drew inspiration for his athletic Violin Concerto from his gradual repatriation back to Moscow.
